A part-time opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support middle school and high school students in Torrington, CT. This contract role provides services onsite only, maintaining essential supervision standards as required by local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy to middle and high school students, addressing individualized treatment plans
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) in compliance with state guidelines
- Collaborate with school personnel to support student communication goals and academic success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and related paperwork
- Participate in meetings as needed to coordinate services and update progress
Qualifications
- Current Connecticut SLP license
- Connecticut educator certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Experience working within school settings, preferably with middle and high school age groups
- Ability to maintain onsite supervision of SLPA and therapy compliance in accordance with Connecticut regulations
